This is tricky... Tricky Disco.

MAIL DAY!!

another fine shipment in from my fellas at IMO Records, London.
4 great UK hardcore/freeform releases and a new Rave'n Beatz Japan (RBJP) vinyl I can't wait to spin once my set gets up here to me!
Also got a free CD of UK HDCR & HHDCR that has some big names on it, and is under IMO's newest hardcore/freeform label.

But IMO has always given me great service and products so that's not news :D
What I did do this blog for was to make note of the newest magazine to hit the streets in Europe.

It's called CORE magazine, and it is fully dedicated to bringing you the latest and greatest in hardcore, freeform, happy hardcore, gabba, hard dance, rave breaks, techno, hard trance, bounce, dnb, speedcore, and more!
I got issue #2 of 2 with my IMO order (they are a sponsor of CORE) and I am quite impressed. So used to getting the usual other magazines that didn't feature much, that this was quite a shocker.
It has great interviews, album reviews, rave/club news, Scott Brown :D, new release lists, and more!
This issue features a large interview with UK Hardcore legend DJ Re-Con (Mike Di Scala). Being a Re-Con fan, this was a great interview. Scott Brown lovers; Scott gets his own segment in the magazine to let everyone know what's up with his life, and of course it's quite funny.
You can order the magazine (even if you live in the US) off of www.core-mag.net or IMO Records page.
Digital copies are also available for FREE on the CORE site, as well as FREE promo CD downloads.

And speaking of free downloads; I want to give a quick shout-out to the very talented DJ Thumpa, who is offering his archived hardcore set mixes in MP3 format for your enjoyment.

Check em out!!

And last but not least...

Slammin Vinyl is holding it's annual HARDCORE HEAVEN AWARDS, Saturday October 25th, 2008.
Be sure to go to the website (click the pic!) and vote for your favorite UK DJs, producers, labels, magazines, and shoppes in their respected categories!
I know I will.

And that is all for now. A big news day for hardcore, mainly UK hardcore but w/e.

Now go do all that free stuff I just told you about! haha.
